Ibrahim al-Rubaysh was killed in Yemen by a drone on April 12, 2015. He was also called Ibrahim Sulayman Muhammad Arbaysh. He was born in 1979 in Saudi Arabia. Sometime during US military operations in Afghanistan, he was captured and detained at Guantanamo Bay. He was repatriated to Saudi Arabia in 2006. He became a senior official in al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) in 2013. He provided justification for AQAP attacks. He also served as a senior advisor for operational planning. He had called for jihad against Americans, saying "It is my duty to spur the Muslims to kill the Americans, to get them out of the Muslims' land." The US Department of State was offering a $5 million reward for information that would help to stop him.
