Nasir al-Wahishi was killed by a drone strike in Yemen on June 12, 2015. He also used the names Abu Bashir and Naser Abdel Karim. In January 2009, he proclaimed himself to be the leader of al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP). He approved targets, task organized, recruited members, and allocated resources to training and attack planning. He was from Yemen. He once served as Osama bin Laden's secretary. Saudi Arabia and Yemen considered him to be one of their most wanted fugitives. The US Department of State was offering a $10 million reward for information that helps to capture him.
