On September 24, 2009, Hosam Maher Smadi was arrested for "attempting to use a weapon of mass destruction." He parked an SUV packed with what he thought were explosives in the garage under a Dallas skyscraper. When he dialed the cell phone to detonate it, FBI agents moved in. He has said that he came to America to wage jihad. In Arabic, Hosam means sword. He was born in 1990. He is from Jordan. In 2007, he came to America on a student visa. He attended a California high school. In 2008, he dropped out. After his visa expired, he married Rosalinda Duron on July 16, 2008. They separated after three months. Rosalinda's denial that Hosam paid her to get married contradicts grandfather.
