Jose Pimentel (aka Muhammad Yusuf) was arrested in New York City on November 20, 2011 for planning to bomb post offices and police stations throughout Manhattan. in March 2014, he was sentenced to 16 years in prison. Police stormed the Harlem apartment in which he was working as he was building a bomb. He was born on November 8, 1984. He is a naturalized U.S. citizen. He came to the U.S. from the Dominican Republic when he was five years old. He is an Al-Qaeda sympathizer. He supposedly learned to make bombs by reading Anwar al-Awlaki's online magazine.
