Short and On-Line Muslim Studies Courses
The Zwemer Center for Muslim Studies offers graduate-level courses through Columbia International University in Columbia, SC. Most classes are one-week intensives offered on campus in January and July. Classes are also available online year-round. Some classes are offered on-campus during the regular semester.
Master's Degree in Muslim Studies
The Zwemer Center offers a Masters Degree in Muslim Studies. It focuses on tools and techniques needed to analyze the theology, traditions, and worldview of Islam. It prepares graduates to conduct research and to live redemptively among Muslims.
Consulting on Islam
The Zwemer Center serves as a consulting agent for better understanding of Muslim people and culture. It sends out representatives to teach seminars on Understanding Islam. Those seminars will help dispel common misconceptions between Christians and Muslims resulting in better relationships between them.
The Journal for Muslim Studies
The Zwemer Journal for Muslim Studies promotes evangelical understandings of Muslims. It provides resources for research on Islam, its history, theology, and culture, and on Christian missions to Muslims around the world. It facilitates discussion and encourages research. It seeks to accomplish the following:
- encourage the Church to evangelize Muslims with love and understanding;
- correct misunderstandings about Islam in the broader Christian community;
- regain an evangelical voice in Islamic Studies within the academic community.
